Our editors choose what to cover, which products to recommend and how to rank them. Brands and retailers have no approval rights over our content and do not see it before publication.
Sourcing
We use primary sources wherever they exist: manufacturer specifications, manuals and official release notes. Independent measurements from review outlets and measurement labs support performance claims, and owner reports inform what we say about reliability. Any number we publish must be traceable to a source. Where measurements from different outlets conflict, we show the range with an explanation or leave the figure out.
A retailer listing or a marketing slide is not enough on its own. If a laptop’s advertised GPU wattage differs from what the manufacturer’s spec sheet or an independent review outlet reports, we go with the documented figure and say why.
Freshness
We revisit popular guides periodically and update them sooner when products launch or are discontinued, prices change meaningfully, firmware alters behavior or readers report problems. Each update is dated.
